Personal
On 5 August, the gorgeous Tamryn and her prince charming, Keenan, united in marriage. And on 25 September, the dapper Jason and the stunning Casey celebrated their marriage. May your forever be filled with endless love, respect and fun.
On 14 September, Tamryn and Keenan welcomed cute little Baby Malachi, and on 16 September, Jonathan, Tiffany and Big Brother Harry welcomed the precious Jackson. May these two rascals bring a massive amount of wonder and joy to both of your families!

Mandela Day 2024 support initiative
On 18 July, Netto Invest’s team members came together to create Jars of Hope in support of Mandela Day 2024. We were able to donate 100 ‘jars’ to Ladles of Love. Each of these last for months and can feed approximately 4 people when mixed with water. Please visit ladlesoflove.org.za if you would like to get involved in this great initiative.
SAYes Mentoring in the office
On 27 September we hosted SAYes Mentoring’s mentees and alumni in support of The Financial Planning Institute – SA’s annual Financial Planning Week. The morning was kicked off with an introduction to personal finance, followed by the fundamentals of investment and retirement planning, how to set financial goals, and finally we looked at the basics of tax planning. Our guests were so interactive and interesting that the session ended up being loads of fun for everyone. FPI Week 2024 panel discussion
A panel discussion with the theme; Starting your financial journey the right way, was hosted on 9 October in support of the FPI’s Financial Planning Week. Netto Invest’s Megan Smit, CFP®, was a panellist and presented an introduction to estate planning. Other topics included choosing the appropriate medical aid plan and how to contribute towards a retirement fund. We are sure the 18- to 35-year olds in the audience now have the essentials needed to get their finances on the right track. Netto live on the Expresso Morning Show
Megan Smit, CFP®, made her television debut on 29 October on the Expresso Morning Show. Megan shared her thoughts on the Art of Financial Self-care with presenter, Carrisa Cupido. In her opinion it is all about building and sustaining a healthy, holistic relationship with your finances. She encouraged viewers to make use of their resources and shared a few tips on how to get started.
