Chris and Michael passed their RE1 KI exams in August and we could not be prouder of their hard work and motivation.
Chané and Kurt both said ‘yes’ on 29 November! We wish them an extremely happy and fulfilling marriage.
Maristka and Louter welcomed the adorable Eriska to their family on 14 October. First-time parents, Matt and Liz’s precious baby girl, Everly, was born on 18 November.
Throughout 2022 we focused on recycling our office’s bottle tops and then delivering it to Africa A+ Schools. Their mission is to use the tops as teaching materials (sizes, colours and numbers) at 38 schools in the Kouga area in the Eastern Cape. We encourage you to support this worthy initiative. On 15 July the team came together to commemorate Mandela Day and made 500 sandwiches in support of Ladles of Love’s sandwich drive. We had an absolute blast with Elzé being crowned our top sandwich-maker!
SAYes is an organisation we have partnered with over the years. They provide mentorship to children who do not have parental support. On 3 October we invited mentees from the initiative to our office. Here they had the opportunity to see the workings of an office environment first-hand and be introduced to different career opportunities within the company. It was such a treat to see the mentees’ excitement and interest and to be able to guide them in the best direction, whether that be what the path to a specific occupation could be or simply what a winning attitude should look like. In support of the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa’s Financial Planning Week, Lindsay Frost hosted a panel discussion along with Michael Maré and their industry colleagues. The event’s objective was to enlighten 20- to 35-year-olds by presenting an overview of financial planning, guiding the audience onto the correct financial path, and opening the floor to valuable questions.
